Marianapolis Beta Testing Program

The Marianapolis Beta Testing Program is run by the Tech Innovations Team and allows students, faculty, and parents to test beta releases of our software.

To join the program, fill out our registration form. This form is sent by email to eligible members of the community when new testing sessions open. If you do not receive a form and you feel you should have, contact us.

Types of Memberships

There are two different membership levels in this program. You can either sign up as a member or you can start a free trial. Becoming a member is FREE to everyone within the Marianapolis Community (including parents). If someone from outside the community is interested in the program, they are encouraged to sign on with a trial or contact us about the possibility of becoming a member. Those within the community may also choose to use a trial and sign up as a member later. Below are descriptions of each membership level.

Member (Recommended)

Members of the beta testing program will be able to test our apps as soon as they are made available for beta testing. They are also added to our mailing list for important announcements regarding new projects coming their way (and yes you can unsubscribe). Members are the first to hear about new developments and are the first to test our apps. In most situations their spot in the program is guaranteed and they can test nearly all of the apps we release. Members are highly encouraged to provide feedback for each app they test but they are not required to do so.

Trial Participant

By joining the program using a free trial, you have limited access to our pre-release content and testers are chosen by a lottery system. Your spot in the program is NOT guaranteed and your request to participate may be discarded if any of the included information is found to be missing or is inaccurate. After your app's session has ended, you will be removed from the program and may not start another trial unless approval is obtained from the developer in charge of testing. After participating in a free trial, if you decide you'd like to continue receiving pre-release content, you may sign up as a member (using an active Marianapolis email address).

We may also choose to terminate your participation at any time if a member requests to participate and we run out of slots. Trial participants are selected at the end of the tester registration process to fill any open slots that are not filled by members already in the program. Again, this is done randomly and there's a chance you may not be selected to participate. In the event that you are not selected, you will automatically be entered into the lottery for the next app.

What's next?

Once you have received confirmation that you have been accepted into the program, depending on your membership status, you will then receive further instructions via email. If you are a new member, you will receive more information within a few days of confirmation. If you are on our trial tier, you may have to wait a little longer. It can sometimes take up to two weeks to add trial participants. If you still do not hear from us after two weeks, this likely means you are on our waiting list for the next app we release for testing. So don't worry! We haven't forgotten about you.
